Overview
A thermal or impact printer mounted in the kitchen and connected to the register, so every order prints where the cooks are the moment it is taken. If you run a kiosk or online orders, those tickets print on the same machine.
It removes the part of service where an order exists only in somebody’s head between the counter and the line. Tickets come out in the order they were rung, with the time on them, which also settles the "how long has this been up" argument during a rush.
What’s included
- Printer rated for kitchen heat
- Connected to your register and kiosk
- First box of paper
- Installed and tested
Best for: Kitchens taking orders shouted over the pass.
How it works
- 1
The cashier or the kiosk completes an order.
- 2
The ticket prints in the kitchen within a second, with items, modifiers and the time.
- 3
The cook works from the ticket and spikes it when the plate goes out.
- 4
If the paper runs out mid-service, the register warns you instead of silently dropping tickets.

What we do on site
We mount the printer where paper will not land in a pan, run power and network, set the routing rules with your chef, print twenty test tickets from the register and the kiosk, and leave a spare roll on the shelf.
How long it takes
About an hour.
What you need to prepare
An outlet in the kitchen and a decision on where tickets should appear. If you want Ethernet and there is no drop, tell us in advance so we bring cable.
Questions about this product
- Thermal or impact — which do I need?
- Thermal is quieter, faster and cheaper to run, but the paper darkens above a grill or a fryer. If the printer sits on the hot line, we fit impact; anywhere else, thermal.
- Can it print online and delivery orders too?
- Yes, if those orders land in the same register. We connect Square Online and the main delivery apps during the install; anything unusual we check first.
- What if the WiFi drops mid-service?
- Tickets queue on the register and print when the link comes back, and the register shows a warning. This is why we cable the printer with Ethernet whenever the route allows it.
