Smash burger

Every ticket says single or double, and the grill can read it.

Where it goes wrong

Orders are shouted at a grill that is already loud, and a double that should have been a single costs six minutes.

What changes

The ticket prints at the grill with the patty count, the cheese and the sauce on it, and the screen keeps them in order with a timer.

03Questions

What owners like youask first.

Can the kiosk upsell the combo?
Yes, and it does it every time without being asked. A combo offered on the screen after the burger is picked adds more per ticket than a cashier remembering to say it.
Our rush is 30 minutes long.
Then the queue screen matters as much as the kiosk: it takes the “is mine ready” question away from the window so your staff keep cooking.
We do delivery apps too.
Keep them. Those tickets arrive on their own tablets; ours handles the counter, and both end up on the same grill.
